How many years should a commercial elliptical trainer last (Life Fitness 9500 front drive unit)? - elliptical fitness

I bought the option for the purchase of a 10yr old Life Fitness Elliptical 9500 FWD resale vendors (outside of a gym or college). I do not know how long this last trade generally elliptical, so I do not know if buying is an elliptical 10yr old a wise decision. Help!
